at 9:54 PM, Thursday December 7, 2006 EST As it stands now, if you are Away for some period of time, you stop accumulating dice. I'd like to see there be some inactivity timer -- if you haven't attacked in 8-10 turns, you automatically get the last surrendering spot and you are locked out from the game.
That's very wishful thinking; something that may not be possible in the current codebase. |

at 6:47 AM, Friday December 8, 2006 EST I totally agree. The problem is that people often won't bother to attack the "away" players because they're not really a threat. So people who join and never play a turn can end up finishing as high as 3rd or 4th. This doesn't seem fair.

at 8:21 AM, Tuesday December 12, 2006 EST How about not giving any points to away players, neither positive nor negative points? I don't see rewarding bad players who get killed first by giving them more points then player that just don't do anything...

at 9:55 PM, Friday December 15, 2006 EST It'll be too complex. I've had times where the board locked up and I couldn't move the dices. if I were too be somehow punished for that it would really tick me off (beside I lost about 40 points). Other times I've camped to regain strength while the bigger guns fought each other and then attack - I wouldn't like to be punished for that either. It's a strategy. What one could is be more aware of killing off one-two field campers. When I'm low I'm usually targeting them just to make sure they don't win over me for just sitting there. It's a part of the game.

at 9:57 PM, Friday December 15, 2006 EST Heck, I've even been killed off because I breached a corner to get to a camper that was protected by a bigger gun. you helped me the last turn, i help you this - type. which isn't a bad thing - just frustrating (which is a natural reaction). But it isn't 'war' without a conflict.

at 12:26 AM, Saturday December 16, 2006 EST Let's try that again with out the typo: When someone surrenders (and thus abandons the game), they should not get a higher rating than you. I came in behind the person who surrendered because they had left and their spaces built up.
