I was playing Your incredible game for a long time and I enjoy it very very. I would like it to be little more strategy becouse luck factor sometimes grows up strategy one. So I have small advice how to improve it a little in mechanics. Its imposibble to change anything in attack phase - its esence of game and its nice to have a luck factor there. My tip is for deploymant phase when you get new dices. The idea is to make a "province in favor"(or call it as You like). In each round after attack player can chose one province which will have incresed propability of getting dices on. Thats the idea to move a little step thorwards more strategy playing. I would be honest to hear what do You think abaut this idea. I would like also to know what other player think so post Your comments here also please.
PS Sorry for my english ;)

No - the dices aren´t set randomly at all...

There´s still a small random factor, sure, but there are higher chances for some territories then for other... If you don´t believe - I thx for the advantage against you...

Ok now I got cofused. I was compltly sure that the dice deployment after each turn is random. Why do You think its not???????????????

Um, sorry to dispel the myth, but there is nothing other than random distribution involved in the placement of dice, currently. The "help" immediately to the left of the playing window says the following: "Strategy: The goal of the game is to win all territories. At the end of each turn the number of new dice RANDOMLY distributed is based on the largest number connected territories for that player."

That being clarified, I like the idea. One simple way to implement this would be to automatically place the first reinforcement automatically on the territory chosen, with all remaining ones being placed randomly. Additionally, the end turn button would simply be followed by a single click within no more than say 3 seconds, after which, if no selection is made, the dice are placed randomly, and the next player's turn begins. This would result in a maximum of 21 seconds of additional playing time per round, assuming all 7 players are on the board, not away, and take the full 3 seconds.

There are different points... you didn´t remarked them? It´s to much to tell it here, and there are different variables.

For example: If there is a high stack beside you, your own stack will rise as high with a high probability.

If there are still any isolated stacks - you´re not stinky about all the dices who go there instead to your main territory??

If there is a flat region, your dices will reinforce flat as well. The probability to have a nice tower after stacking up is not very high...

If it´s not secure to protect your borders, the dices start to stack up the last territories... from the back up...
But the normal way will be, that you will stack up the border-territories first, and the existing big stacks.

You didn´t remarked all these things?? Look out for them. I don´t say, that the reinforcements are always like this - there is still a random function in it, but it´s not completely randomly...

Think about the start positions... there are always "high" and "flat" regions... but never a high stack isolated in a "flat" region... Why not if this is complete randomly? And I think it´s the same mechanism as for the reinforcements...

Look out for it for a couple of games to give feedback...

Sorry, you are completely wrong. It is random. You are seeing patterns that aren't there.

Anyway, the point of WorldOwner's original post was to discuss how dice placement can be done in the future, not make it a discussion of how it is done now. What do you think of my suggestion of the first reinforcement being placed on the selected territory with all remaining ones random.

If you have only 1 country left there is a high probability, that dice will stack up.
