So first I do him a favour by moving a large stack away so he could take the remnants and use them to build an empire. That helps him get into a position roughly equal with another player, but both smaller than me. In exchange for that, he truces with said other player to kill me, to no conceivable advantage to him. My next favour will be to put him out of his misery.
