Robbie;D on Thursday October 14, 2010 In our game, Skerdikas was a good, honorable player. He flagged to me early leaving him in good shape to claim 2nd. I had several fights on my hand (especially against a well fought match from behind by Arrgghh as blue) while Skerdikas could grow without much opposition since the active players were on the other side of me and away from him. Skerdikas grew bigger than me and could have easily broken his word (his verbal flag) and taken 1st place. He did not do that. From our game I can see where some might think we were PGA. (Note: I hate PGA. It is against the rules, it is unethical, it isn't fun.) Skerdikas could have battled me early on; instead he early on flagged to me and painted himself into a corner so he could not attack me. I had a lead early, so I assume Skerdikas decided to take a fairly straightforward 2nd rather than go for what would probably have been a try at a risky 2nd or 3rd. There is no doubt at all that I benefited from Skerdikas's choice--whenever anyone flags someone benefits--but I hate PGA and have too much pride and honor to PGA. No one accused us of PGA, but I mention it because other reviews here accuse Skerdikas of PGA and I thought it might be possible that the same situation had happened before: Skerdikas "helps" (that is, flags to) another player in order to help himself, it looks like PGA, but it isn't PGA. All that said, good game Skerdikas. We will kill each other off to win, of course, but I will trust your flag the next time we play.
