That being said. I dont' think we should remove it. |

Volker- there are these things called "ideas" which you can "vote" for. However, I suspect that Ryan wouldn't go for this idea, since he likes the community & removing chat would kill the community. |

at 8:08 PM, Wednesday January 17, 2007 EST well the problem as far as im concerned is not alliances, but the alliances that circumvent chat. So you don't know until it becomes obvious,
i don't do alliances often myself, but tis those who need to be sneaky about it that annoy me. So chatting isnt the problem, it's those that hide the fact that alliances exist and do it without chat. |

at 8:10 PM, Wednesday January 17, 2007 EST StunnedFazer, whats your idea to stop allys? axendo's is only one I heard which I believe in.
Allys make me sick. 1500 and 1700 boards are full of allys. Thats why I play for last place and not first place, else this game wouldn't be fun anymore. Can someone beat 813 points? ;-) |

at 8:32 PM, Wednesday January 17, 2007 EST Guess what people ally at the 1900 tables too. Alliances are part of the game. Stop whining about it. Either make alliaces or lose. StunnedFazer did not propose an idea for preventing alliances because he understands that they are part of the game.

So - in my opinion alliances and the diplomatic part is the most attractiv point in this game. The probelm is that you´re only remarking alliances, if they are succesfull. But even they often lose! I play so often with friends, but we lose this game in the early phase... and sometimes we´re winning. Also I lost some games when I was in the winning position - in an alliance with two friends. But the 2nd and the 3rd recognised that and made a conter-alliance and they won... So - what´s the problem about?? |
