There is an idea about this issue:
http://aplayr.com/kdice/kdice/ideas/the%20porn%20images%20have%20got%20to%20be%20stopped./ it's more of a discussion, as it is not very clear what can or should be done about this. |

Fine then, I'll ask you this. What, precisely, is porn? |

"!= means not equal" Indeed. Or =/=, or just /=. Or the words 'not equal', if you're going to type them out anyways, why try to save time with notation? Besides, I was thinking more that this community was a subset of the internet. "So I would say that many people we rather not have the porn on KDice. " Because, of course, everyone who disagreed was caplable of voting to show that, and they clearly didn't. "bunch of pre-pubertal boys" Pre-pubescent. And more, why would 'pre'-pubescent boys like porn? "The opinion of people are countet who DO vote. " ...understanding, of course, that those who disagree can't actually vote? |

Don't ask me! Maybe the same reason they always call anything gay, without exactly knowing what gay actually is? ;-) "why try to save time with notation?" The same reason you write a math formula in a text, and as well EXPLAIN it in the following paragraph. "...understanding, of course, that those who disagree can't actually vote? " You still have the "Reply" button... |

I know of adblock, its just not "just click it away".. If we go on the adblock we might not need the click feature in the game as well. You see that there is some problem in that argumentation whatever way you take it. "Fine then, I'll ask you this. What, precisely, is porn?" Well as in every general rule there is room in interpretion of the single case. While I dont care about "erotic" avatars, I do care about "unaesthetic" porn. Yes there is no forumula like counting the pixels and if the sum is > 60 its porn. But there are a lot of avatars that are clearly over the line. And its not because the people just want to like this... its just because they WANT people to anger about it. They just want the attention ... |

Yes, the Reply button. SO it's not just those that vote, it's those that comment? Yeah, if you use adblock, you won't have to go through the trouble of clicking the image. Where is the problem in this "arguementation"? What -you- care about? I didn't ask that. What is porn, not what do you think is. We aren't going to make a ban that reads "what fuzzycat judges to be porn". Oh, yeah, attention...All these ideas and topics -totally- don't give them that attention they request and -definitely- doesn't encouage them to continue. |

No a formale does not make any sense without explaining what it means, what it says, what its outcames are etc. E=mc^2 also does say nothing until you explain WHAT it means, even when you know what E,m and c is. "Yes, the Reply button. SO it's not just those that vote, it's those that comment?" You took that word "vote" to literally. I did not mean the "vote" button ryan implemented, but to voice your opinion. "Yeah, if you use adblock, you won't have to go through the trouble of clicking the image. Where is the problem in this "arguementation"?" Well if you base your "arguementation" on adblock, why the hell is this "click away" feature implemented at all? "What -you- care about? I didn't ask that. What is porn, not what do you think is. We aren't going to make a ban that reads "what fuzzycat judges to be porn"." Well as with every social concept, its meaning is derived from the general consensus. Yes "fuzzycat" is one little part of it. If you think porn is something different please explain. But don't say it does not exact, just because you can't derive it from physical laws. Its a social concept. "Oh, yeah, attention...All these ideas and topics -totally- don't give them that attention they request and -definitely- doesn't encouage them to continue." Well I agree on that! |

at 4:03 PM, Tuesday April 3, 2007 EDT E=mc^2 means Energy equals the mass multiplied by the speed of light squared. If you want to talk about the implications of that, or how that effects our lives, that's something else entirely. The formula, in and of itself, is understood. Much like the symbol for 'not equal'.
The click away feature was implemented because at the time, that was all you people complained about. Now y'all are complaining about more, so I, personally, with present you another option to address these complaints. That there is a click-away feature does nothing to invalidate the usefulness of Adblock. We can barely say what porn is. How would we even know it's bad? |
