Don't play with people who's style you don't enjoy. While I do play honerable, truce breaking is a valid strategy. Tattletale thread like this just come accross as bitter and whiney.

i agree breaking truces – just like pre-game alliance, the ‘hide and seek’ players - is a ‘style’ and a ‘strategy’, but I am sure a lot of us would consider these tactics cheating and should be frown upon.

wait till you are screwed by these people and you’ll know why calling them out is the right thing to do.

@frambojan
"Don't play with people who's style you don't enjoy."
that's exaclty the purpose of this thread, we need to know who the trucebreakers are so that they can be avoided.

I agree with frambojam.

A truce is only going to last as long as it is mutually beneficial to both parties. I think it's more than fair to break truces, as long as you give fair warning to the other party and don't do it with the intention of screwing them over.

Or just play for yourself.

Just to clarify, I am OK if you let me know BEFORE you break the truce. At least in such a case I can plan my attack. What I am not OK is that people breaking truces out of the blue.

Sometimes people blocked me from advancing after entering a truce. In this case, I would tell the other player that the truce is no longer valid and that I would attack him/her. People are usually OK with it.

Red Rocket, truces are for both parties of better use, if they can trust on them! This is the difference between a one-time meet, and a multi-time meet. Where in second it is of MUCH benefit to be viewed as honorable.

Other than that, I can totally agree with TealOrNoTeal:
"Don't play with people who's style you don't enjoy."

Other other than that, the title of this thread is stupid, "mr. oden" doesnt deserve to be the meta-truce breaker for all time fixed into the trucebrakers thread title!

Exactly. If you truce with another player to topple whoever is in first position, once you do that, the truce is fulfilled. As long as you say "it's every man for himself now" I'd be fine with it.

Fuzzycat.

I totally agree that it is important to be viewed as honourable. But I had someone accusing me of having a PGA a while ago, just because I didn't attack who he told me to, when he told me to!
