Calling others gay is a losers word.

I know some gay people (man and woman), they are kind folk, and I respect them.

I feel someone needs to point out that this thread is abit gay. I don't mean in a homo way, but that your language makes you sound weak and an observer might say you talk like fags. not that i'm a homophobe or anything

What does ever having sex have to do with whether or not you use gay as an insult?

That's interesting, I was just talking at work the other day about people saying "that's so gay." I think, although in elementary school it's associated with trying to claim something is "homosexual" (which <10 yr. olds don't even understand, although that was in my time, who knows now), it sticks with a person and really becomes just a synonym for "lame." A similar one is "jerkoff" - kids will make that an insult, you'll still use it into adulthood, yet 99.9% of people do jerk off and are aware it's just a normal thing. Yet it's also an insult.

Back to gay, that's in relation to a _thing_ or _situation_, like, "losing my 8 stack to a 4 was so gay." Are you accusing the dice of having sex with each other? Perhaps they are, they do like to sit on each other in a phallic way.

So what does this have to do with the subject of this thread? Not a whole hell of a lot. Just don't ever go on gpokr, you're likely to have an aneurysm if you saw the way they talk on there.

Oh, here's some constructive stuff: there's no real way to control this. You can send logs to Ryan, which can be faked, and would take up so much of his time you could forget there ever being further improvements to the game. Sick of the lag? Well tough shit, Ryan's busy playing nanny. We could have moderators - except they're human, and I've seen it many times on forums where a mod gets a big head and starts banning people for lesser infractions. Imagine you defending against him 8v3 - you may get banned for that.

In short, it's the internet, it's been like this for decades, grow some thicker skin or stop frequenting places where teenagers go.

Well said. You pretty much summed up everything I was thinking after reading the first several posts. Bottom line, its childish and silly to call something gay when it isn't, and it demonstrates a complete lack of an ability to express oneself in a meaningful way. That just reinforces why people who use the term incorrectly should be ignored or avoided - nothing more, nothing less.
