How do you counter terrible starting position?

So if you start with 3 3 stacks randomly placed in different corners with bigger stacks around yours, what's the secret to not getting wiped out by round 3? It seems like this happens to me about half the games I play, so I never get a chance to raise my rank.
My luck is terrible though, I lost 9 8v8 rolls in 1 round earlier today, so maybe it's just me. |

I have earned points on lots of occasions from crap starts just by waiting for my chance to improve. Sometimes I have gone on to win after totally lousy starts. If it's clear that your situation is hopeless quit asap. |

Helicopters or ships seem to be the best solution :( In case you don't have any of those. Be patient and wait until you lose your patience or many points. A few times you will find out that waiting can actually pay off, but that mostly depends on your opponents lack of skill. |
