at 10:43 AM, Sunday April 29, 2007 EDT it would help with the people who stink, not playing against 1600's who go to the same table.

at 5:59 AM, Monday April 30, 2007 EDT but for u ppl who are under 1500, playing against ppl who are 16+ and more, u will get more ELO as to playing players that are rated 1300 for example.
i make an effort to play players that have a better ELO than me because i win more points... just a tip...look for better ELO's and u may break 1500 again...haha gl with that! x |

at 7:42 AM, Monday April 30, 2007 EDT yes they would know HOW the game functions but they still wont know HOW to effectivly play, your saying you knew how to play and went straight to the 1900 tables after a couple of games? there below 1500 so they obviosuly dont fully understand how the game works, and what tactics to use. Playing with people around the same skill level would help them rather than playing with people far more experienced in winning, it takes a couple of games to get the jist of how to play, and playing against those who are blatently better is hardly gonna help.

at 9:09 AM, Monday April 30, 2007 EDT i couldn't disagree more!
1. i learned how to play using singleplayer dicewars. 2. the reason i am 1900+ is because i played better pll than me therefore picking up tips and effective tactics from ppl who know how to play effectively. let me ask u a question...how r you meant to get better by playing players of equal or less skill? surely to improve your game, u MUST up the skill level of the opponent... |

at 11:34 AM, Monday April 30, 2007 EDT excuse me but you dont learn to run before you walk, it took me a fair couple of games to start winning, you get better by understanding the game better, and build up your confidence of lower skilled players and test your ideas and tactics if there where to be any and build yourself up from there, where as playing with far more experienced players jsut mean your gonna looose more, if you keep playing 1600+ people your not gonna win any game soon are you? yes playing with better people you can pick things up of them but not if you play with them constantly your just gonna drop in rank. the idea is to have A table JUST for under 1500's, surely that would not be a good idea to get practice? and if you really wanted to you could go to a diff 0 rated table to play with

at 11:36 AM, Monday April 30, 2007 EDT you dont get better by playing better skilled people, you dont see dagenham and redbridge playing against chelsea in friendlys or anything do you? nor do you see amatuer boxers against pro's, you get better from practice.
i may of typed this twice -.- |

at 5:59 PM, Monday April 30, 2007 EDT i agree with dan:S but with sarahxxx also beacause if you have played the game at least 3 times and get last everytime, 1. you should know to change the stragety, and to start watching the people who beat you, but on the other hand if you just cant seem to manage it would be good to play against other who have the same comprehension as you to start finding youre own way to win, thats how i do it.
