I don't want this to sound like a thread that doesn't understand the game, but, has anyone else noticed patterns in the gameplay?
It may just be my rage coming from a couple of bad recent games, but I think I have noticed a few patterns within the games changing system. For instance, when there was the switch to dominance scoring, I noticed odd rolls happening frequently. Now, it may have been that "It's because you remember it" argument, but, that's the pattern I saw then. However, I am sure about this one: I can easily say that no game goes more than two rounds with someone getting a "random" 6> stack of dice. I know there are ways to work around these steroid stacks but they dictate some games. Now, is this another "You remember it" things,or just a phenomenon I see? Does anyone agree with me, and, did Ryan say something and I just missed it? |

at 10:53 PM, Friday April 6, 2007 EDT I find I usually do well when I start with two 5 stacks. Even if you go around them in the early rounds they can just sweep you up the next round when you have 2 or 3 dice in the territories you worked around. It happens in every game and it sucks but I either hope its me with the 6 stack or that I'm far away from it.
Love the term Steroid Stack btw |

at 12:27 AM, Saturday April 7, 2007 EDT i also notice that players with lower score when attacking players with higher score, they usually get luckier rolls. and when the opposite happens, the higher score player is usually very unlucky. i lost a few games due to this.

at 12:54 AM, Saturday April 7, 2007 EDT There's no denying the power of a heavy set of dice early in the game. Two close 5stacks is a great start, because you can connect with one of them, then have decent odds of the other one becoming a 6stack on refill. Two connected 5stacks is the best start for the same reason.
