I see that there's a lot worse going on in this site. I'm blocking this site from my kids, now. Sorry, whoever runs this place... It looked like a nice multiplayer game. But if you have no facility for screening out offensive material, this is no place for anyone under 18.

BTW, I just copied what was in the chat window after I asked one person to remove their offensive avatar. Whatever, it doesn't bother me; but even on adult-oriented sites like FARK.com's comment threads they know enough to filter certain phrases; and ban abusive users.

here I think you have to use:

JKD, please read ubersmushs comment again, and take specially notice of the word "all".

While I do think it would be a nice and smaart feature to be able turn off all avatars, turning off chat will give you a significant game disadvantage.

My statements were taken out of context. I was playing around, and wasn't directing anything at anyone in a malicious manner. If someone came in and said, "Hi, I'm letting my child play now, if you guys could be respectful of that, it would be great" then I would behave appropriately. However, in this situation, it was a couple of people screwing around. I didn't even know that there was an actual "Annie" that existed, I was playing along.

And, by the way, I am an avid farker. I pay my $5 a month. I would consider this a far safer site for children than fark. However, I would not let my child on either, specifically due to the chat feature. I would not want my child talking with people online whom they do not know, regardless of the language content.

It's a shame that you have to be told a child is present before you will "behave appropriately". If you are able to behave appropriately for children, why not do it for everyone just because it is the civil thing to do?

Players should only talk about the weather and how great the the old days were.
