My melting die is green!
What are the other colors? What's the meaning? Is the order of importance same with the order of colors on the table: red, green, purple, yellow, blue, brown teal? |

at 12:14 PM, Sunday April 1, 2007 EDT This is a good spot to discuss the trophies.
1st = Gold 2nd = silver 3rd = bronze 4-20th = blue 21-100th = green They're not melting either. They are sitting on a similar color board. Maybe the board should be a different color. |

at 12:26 PM, Sunday April 1, 2007 EDT why not do 4-25 in blue?
cuz that means blue would indicate players that were on the top 25 list at the end of that month. Then 26th-100th in green would indicate the other places. kinda stinks for someone to finish 22nd or 25th and have the same color as 100th? I think. |

at 12:33 PM, Sunday April 1, 2007 EDT These are my early designs for possible kdice trophies - I believe some other people are creating their own too and we'll all get to pick the winner.
The colours have nothing to do with table order - they were difficult to choose, because obviously, once you've done gold, silver and bronze you have to come up with two more colours for 4th-20th and 21st-100th trophies and try not to make them too bright, and green and blue are quite easy on the eyes. I think comparisons will always be made between green and blue with the in-game colours, but to be honest it would be difficult to find another suitable colour that hasn't already been used as one of the seven game colours :/ I think the "base" issue could be addressed though - perhaps giving them all a "wooden" base instead of one the same colour? |

That way blue would represent people who were Top Players for that month. See what I mean? There's no difference between 24th and 87th, but I think that top 25 players should get blue as well. That's all. Gjob btw. |

at 1:14 PM, Sunday April 1, 2007 EDT Grun, that makes sense. Its only at 20th because thats the way gpokr works. It makes sense to change it to top 25... so it will be done.
I think freebiejeebies has done a great job with these. I couldn't figure out how to make a dice look like a trophie and his simple idea works well. So the ideas so far are - a different colour base, (maybe with a colored border?). - 4-25th as the same - the green a blue may be confusing... with the gpokr chips the are both white chips with a little bit of detail difference. Perhaps we should make blue and green white trophies... maybe have the 4-25th with a blue border or marks of sometype... and the 36-100 nearly colorless.... thoughts? |
