1700 tables!?!

This is yet another plea for 1700 tables.

Why? Among other reasons because 1600 tables are overloaded, it happened now already more than once to me, that ALL 1600 tables were occupied!

I think it was explained not to long ago that it will need 1000 players between 1700 and 1800 to get these tables.
And it also happens that you wait quite some time to get a game going on 1600. I would like to see 1700 so my losses are limited, but it is not mandatory I think.

Louis Cypher, I know that mechanismen, but I still challenge to optimize that idea.

So...I dunno...Wait? Is it so hard?

Or ask to improve the game?

I makes no sense to NOT give additional tables, if the existing tables are already overloaded...

And cause even more server load, so everyone on those new tables comes back complaining about lag, -again-.

hey fuzzycat... try to give some arguments! Give us some Pro´s and Contra´s... Gave your "improvement" some weight...

I gave one reason already in the very first post:
"""Why? Among other reasons because 1600 tables are overloaded, it happened now already more than once to me, that ALL 1600 tables were occupied!""""

Another one is fairness. Going up/down in score should just depends on your skill in playing. Not from the time when you play. While there were 1700 tables it was much easier to hold a 1700 score, and to reach 1800. With only 1600 tables is much more difficult to reach 1800. I don't say a hole itself is bad. But having it at some times, and not at other times does
enfeeble distort ELO accuracy.

And to enfeeble Techs counter-argument. The serverload is mainly determined by the number of total players playing. Not directly by the number of tables. So yes, keeping people from playing when they want does reduce server load. But is this really something we want?

Enfeeble? What's with the thesaurus-speak?

This is really more of a non-issue, if you can't play at the moment, open up a new tab, mess with some falling sand (as in, http://chir.ag/stuff/sand) We'd love to have things so that everyone is happy with the game, having fun and pooing rainbows. Unfourtunately, necessity requires there be limits.

exchange some 1600 table to 1700 tables instead then, out of the other reasons.

Hey I'm Finally back above 1700, bring back the tables (so we can get to 1800 anyway)
