In one game, I attacked 3v6 and won followed by defending an 8v3. I did the math and found out that this happens 1 in 1205 times. If you factor in the fact that this type of stupid attack happens maybe once every 15 games (which I think is much more often than this actually is)this feat happens once every 18075 games. I dont know where Im going with this, just wanted to share this rare occurence. Has anyone else had crazy dice rolls like this?

at 9:34 PM, Tuesday March 13, 2007 EDT Oh shoot. I realize this math is flawed, Im multiplying once every 1205 MOVES by once every 15 GAMES. Unfortunately i dont feel like doing the math right now so if anyone wants to do it... :)

at 6:03 AM, Wednesday March 14, 2007 EDT last game I rolled a:
6 3 4 1 5 6 1 1 followed by a 2 3 4 6 4 1 2 2 What is the chance rolling exact this sequence? |

at 9:10 AM, Wednesday March 14, 2007 EDT The chance of those exact sequences (not of the totals) is simply:
1 / ( 6 ^ 16 ) = 3.5 * 10^-13 A very small number. |

at 9:50 AM, Wednesday March 14, 2007 EDT I haven't played a ton of games but 3v6 then 8v3 wins the craziest two rolls I've heard award. I've often seen 4v1 lose followed by similar upsets though.

at 3:01 PM, Wednesday March 14, 2007 EDT I witnessed a 7v2 lose, an 8v3 lose, and a 2v6 on offense win (suicide move turned deadly!)
personally, I've defended two times with 8v3s (had 3 dice and they held on defense) - actually happened kinda recently, 2 of them within two weeks span. lowest roll I've ever seen was rnd roll a 9 with an 8 stack 1,1,1,2,1,1,1,1 it was spectacular. I wish it had been vs a 2 stack instead of my 8 stack... a roll like that could have lost to 2. I've never heard of an 8v2 failing though.. |
