Just a quick question. I know something has been said before.. but I think if you flag, that should be it for you. No more turns. Your bascally saying I give up, so once you make that decision, thats it.

i think it's a good idea.

some people actually use flagging-in flagging-out as part of their strategy. i suspect such causes lag too.

"""Your bascally saying I give up,"""

No, you don't! You basically say "It would okay for, to finish the game now". If the others don't turn in, its perfect for you to play on!

No doubt that a white flag in war means I give up, but it is a losing battle to suggest that people play that way. Unless Ryan changes the rules, people will continue to fight while flagged, so you may as well play with the expectation that it will happen.

the white flag (to me) means end it now, not necessarily that I give up. If the rest of the table wants to continue, I can still decide to expand my territory and protect my Domination score from reducing further, than it already is. I certainly do not expect to win the game.

Why do people insist on using the flag as a double of a feature that already exists? If you want to surrender and not play anymore, that's exactly what sitting out does. It even magically stops you receiving more dice after a few turns, another feature people keep requesting for the flag.

The flag simply means "I vote to end it now" and not a single thing more. The surrender button is the "sit out" button.

Another thing to think about. Many times games end not when people surrender, but when the realise playing further won't change their positions. So one after another, they flag, and when they've all done it, the game ends.

That will /never/ happen if surrendering means you can't attack. If you flag, you can't attack and you never get another turn under this suggestion, but others can, thus giving them a chance to get one up on you and demolish you. No one would be the first to flag in such a game, forcing every game to drag on until there is literally one person covering most of the map

yes flaggin doesn't mean give up, just I'm ok with the game ending now if everybodyelese agrees. Many people are still confused. wiki article anyone?

Also I heard many times people currently on the last place saying that "it is against their principle to flag while last". But this is nonsense, if the last doesn't flag fals will never work ...
