Hi Alpha,

To answer your question: if you would like to help fix the lag, there is a donation button you can click on, and/or advertisements that you can also click on.

All of which, I am sure, will indirectly help improve the lag situation.

Is there a way to fix the lag without me having to pay anything? Because the lag is really irritating but not as irritating as having no cash

For me, I lag approximately once or twice a game, although it can be more or less. From my perspective, it always is the same. It's another player's turn, their time bar goes down but never goes all the way down and sticks at the bottom. From there, I can either wait for the game to catch up which can take many turns (and subsequently is not worth it), or I can refresh (which is what I always do). The problem is that often I miss my turn or when I refresh it is my turn. If it's still my time, I'm unable to click on the map and am forced to hit end turn or wait for my bar to expire.

I am really surprised on those that have not contributed ANY money to the site. I have donated $5, and I see that I got a star for it. With the number of players that have no stars, I am going to assume that the star will disappear after a time, Otherwise I am surprised that no one else kicks in some money. Heck the $5 I put in works out to about 3 cents a game at this point. Great site, please support it, No affiliation.

1. It's not just me. It has happened to me and one or two other players in different games.

2. I can still access the forum.

3. 30 seconds to a minute. Sometimes refresh doesn't work. It freezes the browser and I have to close and re-open it. Sometimes, after I reloaded kdice.com, I have to sign in again and find the table I was playing.

Can you clarify if donating or visiting you sponsors can actually solve the lag? I am afraid someone is trying to pass along incorrect information.

by the way ryan, if you know the cause(s), can you please, please fix it/them then?

I have been keeping on the tail of lag issues and have solved many. It was a much bigger problem before and it was usually the database. Most of these issues are gone.

But it still seems like there is a lag issue. It could be with your own connection. But I have also experienced some lag. My problem is that I can't connect to gpokr, kdice, or aplayr for about a minute. I can't even get a shell session to the server. I have no idea what this is. Possibly on my end. Or maybe this is what other are experiencing.

Also, let me know which browser you use when you get lag. There is possibly a bug with firefox that causes a timeout.

Alpha, Yes if i knew the cause it would be fixed. The hard part is finding the cause. It could be anything. Some people say that I should get a new server but I don't know if thats the issue. The server is running fine under its capacity.

pressed enter before finish typing.....

i was going to say i am quite sure it's not my connection (cable) that's causing the problem. i played a lot of online games (those from gamedesign, donut games, etc) and never experience such a lag problem.
